Sunil Taneja
A chartered accountant by education, Mr. Taneja decided to quit his job in Indonesia and move to Odisha to start his entrepreneurial journey in 1989. Over the next decade he built the strongest bouquet of brands under 5 companies in Odisha.
His early association with the footwear industry also led him to launch Nike as the sole licensee in the country in the year 1996. Over the next decade he had launched brands like Salvatore Ferragamo, Aigner, Lotto and many more in India.
Over the years he has helped develop Lotus Footwear Enterprises, a major manufacturing hub for footwear for brands like Nike, Columbia and Salomon. These units today export more than 30 million pairs of shoes a year and employ more than 35,000 persons in Tamil Nadu.
An avid golfer and a keen supporter of entrepreneurs, Mr. Taneja is integrally associated with industry groups like CII, ICC and is currently the Vice President of TiE.
Kabir Taneja
With a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (Hons) from the University of Warwick, UK and a Masters in Finance from European Business School, London, Mr. Taneja joined the business in the year 2008. Over the next decade he grew the companies in line with their vision from 14 touchpoints in 5 locations to 53 touchpoints in 24 locations.
Besides adding new companies to their Odisha bouquet, over the past decade, he has also introduced Hammelmann’s revolutionary UHP technologies to numerous industries across India including shipyards, aluminium plants, steel plants, hydro-demolition, automobile plants etc. During this time, the organisation’s footprint has grown manifold and is now supported by an expansive network of expert after-sales service across the country.
A keen angel investor, Kabir is associated with several syndicates globally.
In the year 2020, Kabir launched the coveted Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO) Odisha as the Founding President of the organisation in the state.
